"Cassidy"

Cassidy is about 6 years old and is just a sweetheart.  She is excellent with other dogs and really likes to play with the foster mom's own collie.  She is good with cats and greets everyone she meets with a wagging tail and the firm belief they must be there to adore and fawn over here, which she happily allow.  Cassidy is a well-rounded, social girl who adjusts to new things easily.  Having another laid-back, playful dog in her new home would be a bonus for Cassidy but is not a 'must have'.

Cassidy is totally blind, in fact she has had both eyes surgically removed.  However, don't think this slows Cassidy down in the least.  People who see her and don't know her eyes are gone are often surprised to learn of her blindness because she truly acts like any other dog, it affects her so little.  She goes for walks, plays with her toys, meets strangers at the door nicely, walks around the house.....all the normal doggie things and her blindness does not really affect any of them.

Cassidy is on a very inexpensive thyroid medication that needs to be given to her daily.  The medication costs about $15/month.

Cassidy is a collie who loves to hear her own voice.  She will needs a home who understands that she will bark at strange noises, bark while playing and bark occasionally to let you know what she happens to be thinking about.  She is a talker for sure and does all those wonderful collie moans and groans and chatty noises we love so much as well.  A home in the country or one with understanding neighbours is a must for Cassidy, where her barking will not be a problem because she really is happiest when she can let you know what's happening around her during the day.

Cassidy is spayed, vaccinated and housetrained.  She knows her basic obedience and has excellent recall.  She is good with dogs, cats, kids and people.  We honestly can't say enough about how very sweet she is and just what an all-around great dog Cassidy is.
