Duke is about 2 years old and is a very sweet, loving boy. He is thought to be a collie/shepherd mix or perhaps a collie/malamute mix. He loves attention and affection and would happily be a lap dog if he could.
He is good with the other dog in his foster home and likes to play. He is excellent with the 9-year-old boy in the home as well and would do wonderfully in an adoptive home with children around that age or older. He bonds quickly and really likes to be with people. A family who wants to make Duke part of their home and family life is needed for this social, active boy. Duke is well-behaved in the house and very smart; he learns new things quickly and easily with positive reinforcement training.
Duke does NOT do well in a home with cats and a totally cat-free home is a must for him.
Duke is very, very affectionate and just soaks up any attention he can get. He likes to be played with, talked to and loved as much as he can get away with. Duke is really an all-around great dog who will make an amazing addition to a family who is looking for a new member to add to their home.
