You can make a difference!
Help Us, Help Them!
Collie Rescue Network is kept active by the commitment and dedication of our volunteers. We need volunteers in almost every community, in every province, all across Canada. You can make a very real difference in the life of a rescue collie and without volunteers like you, Collie Rescue Network would never be able to continue the work we do. It is solely because of our volunteers that Collie Rescue Network even exists!
If you can help with any of the following, we'd love to hear from you!
Home Visit Volunteer: CRN is committed to finding great homes for all our rescue collies. To help achieve the best possible match between families looking to adopt and the needs of our rescue collies, every person who applies for a collie from Collie Rescue Network must complete a home visit. A Home Visit Volunteer goes to the home of the applicants and visits with the entire family, in their home to ensure the home being offered is a good match for the collie the family is looking to adopt.
Digital Photo Volunteer: CRN uses photos of our rescue collies for many, many different things. The biggest reason we need photos is the ability to post the pictures onto the website under the Adoptable Collies section. This allows people looking for a collie to actually see the collies in our care. If you can take photos of collies in your area, let us know.
Transport Volunteer: A Transport Volunteer will help get a collie from a shelter to a foster home, or from a foster home to an adoptive home, or maybe to and from a vet or grooming appointment. We are always in need of transport volunteers and this volunteer position generally takes up a few hours every month or so.
Grooming: Even if you are not a professional groomer but have the knowledge how to properly groom a collie, we would love to hear from you. Most of the collies that come to rescue are in one state or another of neglect and most need a good bath and brushing. If you can help groom a collie, let us know, we'd love to hear from you!
Fundraising: Fundraising is what keeps us alive, besides the volunteers. Without donations from the general public we would not be able to afford the vetting each and every single collie that enters our rescue program receives. We have a few fundraisers throughout the year but we need more people directly involved in the Fundraising Volunteer positions to allow us to help more collies throughout the year.
