Collie Rescue Network is thrilled to again be taking part in one of Ottawa area's best animal related events - the AWARE Festival. This year's event will be held at the Rideau Carleton Raceway on October 16th, 2010 from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
The AWARE Festival is an all-inclusive event when it comes to animals and you'll find information and groups representing dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, ferrets and horses! You'll find vendors with loads of animal related products and services along with many non-profit groups, rescue groups and other animal related booths to explore, visit and interact with!
One of the main events at the AWARE Festival each year is the Blessing of the Animals. This interdenominational experience is enjoyed by people worldwide on this day as they pay tribute and give thanks for the animals in their lives.
On site will be a number of local bands for entertainment along with a full service restaurant and a canteen!
It's a wonderful way to spend a day with other animal lovers who all give thanks for the wonderful animals that share their lives and hearts with them, past and present.
There are lots of great ways to participate in this event!
