Sponsorships and Donations
Collie Rescue Network is run completely by volunteers. Not only do none of our volunteers get paid or compensated in any material way, they almost always are out-of-pocket for things like postage, office supplies, gas for transportation and many, many more incidentals that crop up here and there in the rescue world. Every single penny that comes into rescue goes towards the dogs in our care. We incur thousands of dollars in vetting bills each and every year to ensure that every Collie in our care is treated ethically, humanely and is healthy and fully treated prior to adoption. The average cost of each Collie that goes through our rescue program is approximately $550.00. Our requested adoption donation of $350.00 obviously does not cover the costs incurred and therefore we rely on donations and sponsorships from the general public to continue this level of care.
While we are a not-for-profit rescue group we are not yet our own registered charity. We do, however, work with the K9 Rescue Me Association who can issue charitable tax receipts on our behalf. K9 Rescue Me accepts donations on our behalf and holds the funds in trust for whichever dog is being sponsored or for the general rescue fund. You can donate to Collie Rescue Network through K9 Rescue Me by visiting CRN's Canada Helps Giving Page at the link below.
You can also donate any time directly to CRN (but can not receive a charitable tax receipt) by sending a cheque made out to "Collie Rescue Network" and mailing it directly to our treasurer at the link below to our Contact Us section.
Please think about sponsoring a Collie in the rescue program today. Help us to help them!
