Brady's Happy Tail Success Story
Thank-You to the Brown family for fostering Brady!!
Brady first came to rescue in the fall of 2004. He had been a stray and was quite the mess; his coat was so matted he truly looked like a beach ball with legs and a head! He went to a foster home where he was groomed, neutered and had two cysts removed (one on his side and one on his lower eyelid that was rubbing on his eye). He was vaccinated, dewormed and given his rabies shots and after a few weeks to full assess his temperament he was ready for adoption. We'd found Brady to be a sweet boy who loved attention but he needed time to feel safe before being ready for full on body hugs. Once he knew he was in a safe spot though, Brady was your typical collie love-bug who liked to cuddle on the couch, was great with the other dogs in his foster home and was just fine with the cats there too. Brady was adopted by a family with a teenage son and once Brady adjusted to his move he fit right in. He went to the trailer in the summer with them and became one of the family. Sadly for Brady, the break-up of the marriage was to mean he found his way back into rescue and in search of another forever home just over a year later. Brady came back to rescue and to our relief it was not another stressful move. He was relaxed and happy and seemed to enjoy family life in his foster home once again. Shortly after, a woman saw Brady on our website and knew he was the dog for her. By this time Brady was a senior, with the aches and pains that come with an aging dog. Dawn, the woman who was interested in adopting Brady, thought that was not a reason not to love him!! She would work with his aches, soothe his pains and love him for however long he had left. Brady was adopted by Dawn, her son and her daughter and their little senior Shih Tzu, Comet. When Brady arrived, he knew he was home. A few weeks later they all went on a trip to P.E.I. together and Brady couldn't have had more fun if he'd tried! He loved the ocean, he loved his new family. Brady has finally found his true forever home and we couldn't be happier for him. ![]() ![]()
