Sweet old Chee Chee came to rescue when he found himself at the local animal humane society after his elderly owners could no longer care for him. The shelter called CRN and we took this old boy into rescue and found him a great foster home. Chee Chee was such a sweet old boy at around 11-years-old. He was a gentle old guy who fit right into his foster home with the other fostered collie there, also a senior, and a younger, bouncier, blue merle collie. Chee Chee liked to laze around, keep watch on the other collies, the cats and the humans.
His foster mom had a friend over one day who met Chee Chee and fell in love with his regal and gentle nature. Jill went home that evening, discussed Chee Chee with Darwin and the next day they came back to see him again. After sending in an application and having their home visit approved, Chee Chee went to live with Jill and Darwin, where he spent his days guarding his lawn from the big front porch.
Sadly, in March of 2006 sweet Chee Chee crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We are so happy that Chee Chee had such a warm and loving home for his final days. He learned that he was loved so very much and that he was worth every ounce of joy he brought to those who had the pleasure of meeting this sweet old boy.
Chee Chee's memorial can be seen on our In Memorium page.
