Mollie's Happy Tail

Success Story

Thank-You to the Brown family for fostering Mollie!!

Holly (now Mollie) was found, in a crate and soaked in pee, outside of a small animal shelter a few days before Christmas.  It was freezing outside and poor Holly was wet, cold and covered in pee.  The staff took her inside, cleaned her up and found she was a very young smooth collie mix girl.  One of the volunteers at the shelter called Collie Rescue Network and we picked little Holly up and she went to be fostered with the Brown family.

Once in foster care we learned that she was not housetrained but other than that she was a normal, happy, energetic young girl.  She needed some training so off to obedience classes she went with her foster mom and dad and smart little Holly loved "going to school".  She was slowly learning not to potty in the house (this was going to be a long process as in her previous life she'd obviously been crated for hours and hours every day, allowing her to overcome her natural instinct not to "potty where she lives".  It would take time but we knew she could learn that instinct again).

A wonderful couple, Laura and Sue, saw Holly on our website and knew she was the right dog for them.  After the application and home visit were completed and approved, Holly went to live with Laura and Sue and had her name changed to Mollie (doesn't she just look like a Mollie too!).  Mollie now does lots and lots of outdoor activities with her new family, who eventually also adopted Ripley so now Mollie has a brother!  Lucky girl!
