Our next event needs you!

One of the most important things our volunteers do is to help out at the many events that CRN attends each year.  Volunteering at these events is actually a really fun way to meet other dog lovers and Collie people in particular!  Without volunteers at these events, CRN would be unable to attend.  We rely greatly on these events and fundraisers to help spread the word about CRN, about rescue Collies and about canine rescue in Canada in general.  We also need these events to help raise those much needed fundraising dollars to help cover vetting costs for the Collies in our care.

Volunteering at an event normally consists of helping "man the booth" - meaning CRN will have a booth set up at a particular event and we need people to stand behind the booth and hand out information, flyers, chat with guests about Collies and just generally be there to answer questions about the rescue (we'll help you prior to the event with the most commonly asked questions).  We usually have a seasoned volunteer at the booth at all times so our newer volunteers can learn the ropes as it were from the folks who've done it all before. 

Many times we need help setting up or taking down the booth.  Or we may just need some extra Collies to showcase for the public (lots of people have never seen a Smooth Collie, or a Tri or a Blue!).
