Fostering for Collie Rescue Network:
Collie Rescue Network does not have a kennel or shelter facility and instead relies solely on the foster care system and therefore the people who are willing and able to open their hearts and homes to the Collies in need.
Each month we receive calls and emails about Collies needing help either from owners who can no longer care for their Collies for a variety of reasons or from shelters who have found a Collie as stray. In order to keep helping each and every Collie in need we are constantly in search of new foster homes to meet the growing need.
What Does A Foster Home Do:
Foster homes are the safe and loving place the rescue Collies live until their furever families can be found. Every Collie in the care of Collie Rescue Network lives with a foster family where they receive proper food, vetting and, most importantly, lots of love.
Most Collies need basic vetting and have no "issues" at all. Sometimes a Collie will come in that needs a very special foster home - one where they can get extra special vet care and/or obedience help or even just a place to destress for a while before they are ready for adoption.
Collie Rescue Network pays for all costs incurred by the Collie while in the care of the foster family.
The Foster Application Process:
Fostering, and foster families, are a very important part of any rescue organization. Our foster application process is designed to best match a rescue Collie with your particular and unique home environment. To become a foster family you must agree to the following steps:
