Chip

October 12, 2005 we had to put our lovely Chip, (13 years young), to sleep.  We had agreed to take him into foster care six months previously and took on the wonderful privilege of caring for him.  After two weeks of obvious stressful adjustment, he seemed to bond with us and we with him.  At that time we decided he was with us for the long haul, however painful that might be.  He was our constant companion, which we did not mind because of his very gentle nature, love of affection and that sad look of, "One more backside rub Pleaseeeee".

His mind was sharp right to the end, he wanted to go "Walkies" and do all those great adventuresome things dogs do.  Unfortunately his body was letting him down to the point where  quality of life against quantity of life was, well, getting hard to rationalize.

Some dogs might walk across the "Rainbow Bridge".  Chip will be running.

Missed Forever.

Chee Chee

In spite of my never have had a dog before, it was love at first site for me when I saw Chee Chee and, with open arms, my husband and I welcomed him into our home in June 2005.  Then, sadly, just eight months later, on March 10, 2006, we had to say goodbye to one of the noblest animals we had ever known.  Although his heart and sweet spirit were strong, his body was weakening.  Chee Chee made a huge impression on our lives.  He was gentle, loving, playful, regal and so handsome.  It has been a privilege for us to have him in our lives and we shall miss him dearly,.

Shane

In Loving memory of Shane.

He was with us when our son was small, and grew up with him side by side.

In August 2006 he died at the age of 10 and a half due to heart failure.

Shane, we will never forget you!

Over The Rainbow Bridge:  Bailey

We are sad to say that Bailey, also known as Boo-Boo to her foster dad, made her final visit to the vet in December.  Bailey spent 2 years and 7 months in the Forever Foster program, where she was loved by her foster mom and dad as well as the other collies in the home.  Bailey spent her life bouncing from home to home and we decided back in 2005 when she came to us that we couldn't chance her having to ever move again.  So Bailey entered the Forever Foster program, reserved for our frailer senior collies and those with severe medical issues, where she spent her remaining days as a much loved member of the Plunkett family.  Bailey is now playing in the fields at the rainbow bridge, whole, healthy and pain free again.  You will be missed Boo-Boo.
