Maverick is a SUPER nice boy who is part of our Furever Foster program because he is, well, quirky.  Very, very quirky!

Maverick is a "lethal white", also known as a double dilute, which means an unethical breeder bred two merle dogs together resulting in some of the litter having a high chance of being born blind, deaf, or both (Maverick is both).

Being both blind and deaf comes with it's own set of issues but Maverick's goofball personality, his ZERO fear of anything, and his quirky little brain means he needs to be in a very controlled, very structured, very safe environment. Maverick likes to climb; counters, TV stands, bookcases, the stove. His environment must be very, very specific to ensure he stays safe. His foster mom can provide all of the above and so he will stay in the Furever Foster program in the care of the rescue of his life. He is very bonded with his foster mom and she loves him to bits.

Maverick’s monthly costs include a special raw food diet for his very sensitive stomach. His foster home very kindly covers his toys (he needs toys that will keep his brain active and engaged), and his bones (he loves, loves, loves to chew). If you can help cover Maverick’s food bill each month he would very much appreciate it! His food bill is approx. $100/month.
